I finally got around to listening to this episode of the Playdate Podcast, where the Panic team investigated the theft of over $400,000 worth of Playdate devices, true crime style. As you’d expect, it’s wonderful storytelling all around.

I’ve come to realize that setting aside intentional time for processing & reflection soon after attending a conference or other professional development experience is crucial.
I routinely set aside a couple of hours or even a half day after the event to go through all of my notes, pull out key concepts, think about new ideas, and establish next actions.
Let’s face it: this processing time is unlikely to happen once you’re back in the office, having resumed your daily workload and serving your team. It’s not the kind of thing we drift toward.
If it’s worth the investment to attend, why not finish well?

Thank goodness this flight offers S-Video input on the seatback display. How else would I be able to watch all of these laserdiscs that I packed?
UPDATE: I looked at the pins again and realized this ain’t S-Video. One Google image search later and I’m finding out this was a way to connect your iPod (!) to the screen and watch video, presumably those three $1.99 Office episodes you bought on the iTunes store in 2007.
